Helen and Jim attended the Restorative Justice Practitioners' Conference  held on March 26th and 27th 2010 in Kilbirnie, Wellington. Guest speakers included Hon Simon Power (Minister of Justice), Chief District Court Judge Russell Johnson, Rt. Hon Sir Geoffrey Palmer (Law Commission President), Parole Board Chair Judge Sir David Carruthers, and Hon Tariana Turia (Maori Party Co-Leader, Minister for Community & Voluntary Sector; Disability Issues, and Associate Minister of Health; Social Development & Employment). 

It was a fantastic coming together of practitioners experienced in both pre and post sentence conferences. Of particular note was Jackie Katounas and her discussion with Jan who described forgiveness in the restorative justice setting in prison.
